This pixel protocol was designed by Genesis-Systech in China. While the features are very similar to GS8208, GS8206 also allows for a constant voltage pixel system, via a parallel LED connection. This results in a more flexible lighting system, allowing up to 24V to be used. The control circuit comes in a SOP8 package, allowing for more flexibility with LED choice.

Note: When configuring your PixLite device, select 'GS8208' as your Pixel Type. This is the equivalent protocol that will allow you to use GS8206 pixels.

On start-up, all GS8206 pixel lights will momentarily flash, and then enter a built-in test mode for a short period of time. When this self-test has finished, the pixels will proceed to respond to their incoming data.
